About Liza

I’m a graduate of Stanford Law School. For twenty-two years, I practiced as estate planning attorney. Now, I’m the Director, Gift Planning at the Silicon Valley Community Foundation. I’ve written two books for Nolo.com, Every Californian’s Guide to Estate Planning and The Trustee’s Legal Companion, and host Life/Death/Law, a podcast about end of life planning.

I’m also a certified End of Life Doula and End of Life Planner, a graduate of Going With Grace’s End of Life Planning Program and the holder of a National End of Life Doula Proficiency Badge.

What I’m really interested in is being a Generosity Consultant—exploring how we can accept the fact that, in the end, we have to give everything away and use that truth to create meaningful lives and meaningful legacies.
